Mr. B’s Sports Camps
VOLLEYBALL
Mr. B’s Volleyball is now offered throughout the year. In 2020, we switched our camps and clinics to outdoors due to COVID. Once 2021 comes around, we will access the situation and plan our camps accordingly. Our camps and clinics should be back in action sometime around March 2021.
FISHING
Campers will be taught how to properly put line on a reel, how to tie knots, bait selection, how to put bait on, casting techniques, and catch and release. Campers will practice these techniques all week and end camp with a fishing derby!! Camp is held at the Watchung Lake where you can find sunnies, bass, crappie, eels, and catfish being reeled in every week! So put the devices down for a bit, pick up your fishing pole, and come hang out with us!
DIRECTOR
Matt Buglovsky (“Mr. B”) is a Health and Physical Education teacher at Valley View Middle School in Watchung, NJ. He has been in the district for 18 years. He currently teaches grades 5th through 8th, and is the head coach of the Boys’ Basketball team.
Aside from coaching basketball, Mr. B also coaches the Freshman Girls and Boys Volleyball teams at Watchung Hills Regional High School. He and the 2019 Freshman Girls just finished their Fall season with a record of 20 wins with just 2 losses.
Mr. B is a graduate of TCNJ, where he majored in Exercise Science and played baseball for the Lions. After graduating, he started directing camps in town. After 8 years of directing camps for others, he decided to start his own. In the summer of 2011, he started his first summer camp, “Mr. B’s Baseball Camp”. Over the last 8 years, he’s added a Basketball Camp, Physical Education Games/Sports Camp, our always popular Fishing Camp, and new for 2017, a Volleyball Camp.
“Mr. B’s Sports Camps”offer the perfect combination of activities, instruction, contests, games, learning, and most important, FUN!!! Each camp is a special place for children to spend a fun filled, exciting week. Hundreds of campers over the years have enhanced their skills, made lasting memories, and created new friendships. Our camp philosophy is to provide every camper a fun, safe and encouraging environment in which they feel comfortable and secure. Our goal is to create the ideal atmosphere so that each camper may maximize his or her potential.
